Introductory Half-Day Course, London, 3 May – £350 + VAT per person
The course provides an overview of the role mobile phones and tablets now play, throughout the purchase cycle, in boosting customer acquisition, improving retention and enabling transaction. Divided into four sections, the core topics include Mobile Landscape, Challenges, Mobile Format Selection, and Getting Started.
The Mobile Landscape section includes stats on mobile ownership and usage, as well as industry trends and technology which have made mobile an essential B2C and B2B channel. Challenges summarises the key challenges mobile presents – handset and tablet diversity, data management, integrating into clients’ digital and wider communications plans, and the question of permission.
Mobile Format Selection includes a description of the available formats, and how they work for today’s brands and consumers, with examples including SMS, mobile sites, and apps. Getting Started offers practical advice on moving from trial to delivering future-proof, effective and measurable mobile promotions which deliver long-term profitable solutions.
Finally, the morning is rounded out with a group exercise on developing mobile sites and apps for featured clients.
The course is aimed at client-side marketing, CRM or eCommerce managers and executives wanting to get up to speed with the latest mobile industry trends and formats, as well as account managers and executives in digital and media agencies.
Leading the session will be Rob Thurner, an established mobile evangelist, commentator, trainer and speaker with 20 years’ digital and traditional marketing experience.
